BRP’s 2011 line-up introduces a new platform for its entry-level segment with the new Sea-Doo GTI watercraft. BRP remains the only manufacturer to offer the industry’s unique intelligent Brake & Reverse (iBR) system in every category.
The new GTI platform with the only on-water braking and reverse system in the industry provides increased control, greater close-quarter manoeuvrability and improved rider comfort and ergonomics with an attention-grabbing design.
“We are delivering on our commitment to expand our award-winning technologies to a broader consumer base and at entry-level pricing,” stated Yves Leduc, vice-president and general manager, North America division. “We liken the impact of the iTC and iBR technologies to that of the ABS technology in the automobile industry – it will almost be impossible to imagine a watercraft without it. With the stunning new styling and design of the GTI platform coupled with the addition of the iTC and iBR technologies, we are able to further the momentum created since the launch of these technologies and drive our quest to reach more consumers.”
For the Recreation segment, the award-winning and exceptionally successful iBR system and iTC (intelligent Throttle Control) system have been expanded to an all-new platform of GTI models. The 2011 GTI family of watercraft conveys BRP’s advanced design philosophies with added focus on improved rider ergonomics, best-in-class fuel economy and industry-leading technologies in an entry-level personal watercraft, opening new doors to a broader range of consumers. State-of-the-art features such as iTC and iBR are now available across four models in the GTI family. Coupled with stunning new styling, the GTI offers a first-class ride for every rider.
Further technological additions are made in the Sport segment with the 2011 Sea-Doo WAKE 155 model featuring new design and now equipped with iBR and iTC, including the new interactive infocentre†. BRP remains the only watercraft manufacturer offering tow specific features including retractable tow pylon, removable board rack, wide-view mirrors and the exclusive interactive infocentre featuring user-friendly functions like ski mode, ECO mode, and cruise control for optimal convenience at the helm.
The Luxury Performance segment grows with the addition of the new Sea-Doo GTX 215 watercraft, offering consumers more choices for luxury riding. The GTX 215 model offers a more powerful option to the non-suspension version of the GTX, while the GTX 215 iS returns with full rider suspension.
“BRP continues to lead the industry with market-shaping products year after year, appealing to a worldwide audience,” stated Chris Dawson, vice-president and general manager, International division. “Our 2011 Sea-Doo musclecraft segment continues to outperform the industry and reinforces our leadership position in race-proven performance watercraft. This new line-up will deliver added safety and peace-of-mind as well as provide features designed for specific riding styles.”
Focused on the performance enthusiasts, the Musclecraft segment adds the all new Sea-Doo RXT-X aS* and RXT 260* watercraft designed with superior handling and comfort for any riding conditions. The 2011 RXT-X aS* model features an adjustable suspension system designed to maximize the S3 hulls rough water handling capabilities while delivering the ultimate in comfort. By simply adjusting the suspension to match the water conditions, the rider can customize to his style of riding.
