As a result, Sea Ray has made the decision not to enter the jet boat market segment. This decision reflects Sea Ray’s belief that a much better approach for the company is to offer the most compelling small sport boats available utilizing proven MerCruiser and Mercury outboard propulsion.

After thorough testing and analysis, Sea Ray has determined the propulsion system in its prototype jet boats does not provide the quality, durability and reliability necessary to meet the rigorous requirements of the Sea Ray brand. Sea Ray has concluded that the brand promise can be better met by putting resources into developing exceptional small sport boats, both in sterndrive and outboard configurations.
Sea Ray will continue to invest aggressively in the development of new boats and new boating technologies. The company’s proprietary Next Wave advancements are paired with luxurious materials and a sophisticated design aesthetic, resulting in boats that redefine aspirations both for Sea Ray and Sea Ray owners.
Sea Ray introduced 9 new world-class models during model year 2013, from sport boats to yachts, and is on a pace to launch many more exciting new models in 2014 extending the line to 65 feet. The company ushered in a new era of premium sport boats with the SLX line, including the new day boat flagship, the 350 SLX.
