This year, engine builders really went wild unveiling new products. After receiving a massive shot in the arm, BRP has boosted its Evinrude line with an all-new selection of E-TEC G2 four-stroke engines. Featuring a bold and modern design—and several colour options—they really stand out. The front and upper panels are available in five colours (14 if you count the accents) so that you can match the engine to your boat.

The Evinrude E-TEC G2 is based on a 3.4-litre six-cylinder. Depending on your needs, the output ranges from 200 to 300 horsepower. And depending on the manufacturer, this new line of outboards is 15% to 20% more fuel efficient than its competitors, and produces fewer emissions. Evinrude engineers also completely redesigned the rig (the part that attaches to the boat) by enclosing the hydraulic line and digital controls in a sealed tube. This protects the parts while improving the appearance.
