Boat builder Beneteau recently announced that a new generation of the Grand Turismo (GT) line is slated for release next February. Two new models will be added to the family: the GT 40 and GT 46.
Beneteau has decided to focus its energy on the Sport-Cruiser category, where competition is very tight. The DNA for this new line of boats was developed with help from designers Lendard and Nuvolari (exterior) and Pierangelo Andreani (interior). The fully revamped design includes fewer round edges and a more aggressive and chiselled look, especially the squarish windows.
Inside, the cabin has been enhanced and options have been added. But the quality, richness and finesse of the materials remains unchanged. The overall look is understated and modern. This craft can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people.
To power these two new models, Beneteau has included two Volvo Penta engines and Z drive transmissions . Top speed is said to be 35 knots.
Sportier and more modern, the Beneteau GT 40 and GT 46 will make their North American debut from February 11 to 15 at the Miami Boat Show in Florida.
