New sterndrive model is next evolution in complete redesign for Glastron Cadillac, Michigan, April 12, 2012 – Rec Boat Holdings announces the next new model in the redesigned GT series of boats which started with the very successful launch of the GT 160 at their dealer meeting last summer. On the heels of the recently introduced GT 200 outboard powered platform, the new GT 205 offers the much anticipated sterndrive models, available in standard, sport and ski & fish versions.
The GT 205 platform is a completely new design from bow to stern, aligned with the entire GT family of boats. Glastron’s rich legacy of design and performance is prevalent in this new platform, as with all the redesigned GT models. Features and upgrades are available with each version delivering the perfect configuration to suit consumer needs and desires.

The standard GT 205 comes equipped with all the basic needs for a full day on the water. Dealers who previewed the new boat were amazed at the expanded cockpit area. The GT 205 is unmatched in the category when it comes to interior cockpit roominess. Along withplenty of living area, the GT 205 has plenty of storage to accommodate everything from water toys to sun screen. The unique transom entry with retractable lounge provides easy boarding from the water or the dock without stepping on any seating area. Engine options are available in V6 and V8 power.
GTS 205
The GTS 205 features a more sporty design with upgraded two-toned upholstery, performance-inspired steering wheel and custom graphics. The over-sized cockpit area provides more interior space than competitive 20-foot runabouts. The easy entry transom area with retractable seating creates the perfect L-shaped lounge for relaxing. An optional tower is available for the hard-core water sports enthusiast. Available engine options range from V6 to V8 power.
GTSF 205
The GTSF 205 will answer the need of the weekend fisherman who brings the family along to witness his big catch of the day. Custom fishing seats allow for versatile movement around the large cockpit and bow area giving plenty of opportunity for the perfect catch position. For the skiing fanatic, the GT 205 easily converts with rear-facing seating, retractable ski pylon and plenty of storage for water toys. The same unique aft seating arrangement as on the other platform models provides all the comfort needed for a full day of skiing or fishing.
A limited production run is now available at select Glastron dealers. Worldwide availability of the new GT 205 will be at dealerships in May.
