Rec Boat Holdings announces the next evolution in its Glastron arsenal of new models, debuting the GT 200 at the New York International Boat Show today. The all-new GT 200 follows in the footsteps of the widely successful GT 160, the hot new 16-footer that hit the market this fall. The new 20-footer on display at the show is the first in a series of platform models to roll out in the coming weeks.
The GT 200 platform is newly designed from bow to stern; a strategic move the company is making across all its brands this year. Evolving from Glastron’s rich legacy of design, this new generation features unique styling pulled from the GT 160 but offers more
features and upgrades for the larger model. The outboard powered boat features an exclusive transom walk-through design with a retractable seat cushion for easy out-of-theway storage. When pulled out into the cockpit, a roomy lounge seat provides extra space for sunning. Speaking of the cockpit, the designers have done a superb job of creating added space inside the boat for plenty of storage, a large ski locker and plenty of area to bring the whole family. The auto-inspired windshield is a key design element for the GT series of boats creating a roadster-style look and feel, curved with center-walk through on the GT 200. Exclusively designed gauges deliver a unique helm station making the driver of this boat feel like only a Formula One driver would feel. Eye catching graphics and custom matched trailer round out the package.
“Our new product development plan is unfolding just as we planned,” stated Roch Lambert, Group President, Rec Boat Holdings. “The new GT 200 and GT 160 is evidence of our commitment to bring the Glastron brand to the next level in terms of design, innovation and family friendly boating. The GT 200 is only the beginning of a brand new 20-foot platform, with plenty more to come,” Lambert concluded.
