Regal announced today that they have begun production on two all-new deck boat models, the Regal 27 FasDeck and the Regal 27 FasDeck RX. These new models sport Regal’s UltraLounge aft bench and convertible sun pad. The Regal UltraLounge has a multi-position back-rest that is designed to easily convert from an aft facing bench seat to a forward facing bench seat, then to an aft facing lounger and finally to a flat sun-pad that is integrated into the cockpit arena seating. The aft portion of the sun-pad can be lifted to a two-position forward facing lounger.
“Our goal was to design the Regal 27 FasDecks with a larger more versatile cockpit area,” explained Pat Wiesner, Vice President, Engineering. “We actually achieved 14 inches of additional cockpit length and 6 inches of width in the cockpit, compared to the model the Regal 27 FasDecks replace.”
Both the standard 27 FasDeck and the RX version offer the high-performance and fuel efficiency of Regal’s FasTrac™ Hull design. Regal’s full width stepped hull draws air under the planning surface of the FasDeck, literally, “un-sticking” the boat from water tension that builds up under traditional hulls. This makes the Regal 27 FasDeck models perform like a high performance sport boat, while achieving exceptional fuel economy.
“Most boaters associate deck boats with ‘practical,’ much like mini-vans and SUVs; lots of storage, plenty of room for the whole family and relatively safe,” said Duane Kuck, President and CEO. “With our FasTrac hull, we made it sporty, similar to what Porsche accomplished with their Cayenne coupe, when compared to other SUVs.”
Other new features include a fiberglass dash with color coordinated, heavy duty French stitched vinyl wrap. The dash is available with the RegalVue multi-functional touch-screen monitor that provides engine data, performance information, depth, programmable speed control, chart plotting GPS and engine faults in plain language.
The Regal PowerTower, standard on the RX and optional on the 27 FasDeck, features an all-in-one navigation light and sport pylon and available board racks and speakers. The PowerTower is electrically-actuated with the touch-of-a-button, automatically lowering into the cockpit, making it simple to access boat houses, dry storage, putting the trailer in the garage or slipping under a bridge.
The Regal 27 FasDeck has a comfortably accessed fully-enclosed head with sink and fresh water faucet. Storage is plentiful and the swim platform is mounted only inches from the water for easy boarding.
